The Long Island Gulls Amateur Hockey Association is a 501c3 “Not for Profit” organization.
Among those successful children within our program, the Long Island Gulls organization has produced hockey players that have gone on to play at various levels including Prep School, Junior A & B, NCAA Division I & III, ACHA Division I, USHL, OHL, USANTDP, AHL, and the NHL.In the Fall of 2013, the LI Gulls will have a brand new “home base” at Ferraro Brothers Ice Center in East Meadow, NY.The 85,000 square foot world class facility will be a state-of-the-art sports and recreation center at Eisenhower Park and will feature two NHL regulation-sized rinks and one outdoor recreational hockey rink that will host skating lessons, youth player development programs, tournaments and hockey teams for all ages and skill levels. With a new local facility to now call “home”, and a program that continues to grow and succeed on and off the ice, the Long Island Gulls and all of its members wish to preserve and follow their well-respected tradition and reputation and focus on their accomplishments and goals set for the future. The Springfield Youth Hockey Association boasts a long and storied tradition of providing area youth the opportunity to play both recreational and competitive ice hockey dating back to 1961.The SYHA organizes an alumni game each year inviting SYHA players from years past to play a charitable game with the proceeds going towards hockey scholarships for SYHA families who demonstrate a financial need.
The annual event raises funds towards this end and is an excellent opportunity to give back to the grassroots of the game, and ensure the success of the organization for years to come.
We thank you for your interest, and hope to see you on the ice this year!
